Happy blogging!

I am a therapist, lcsw  in NYC.  As  a friend a few years ago once told me, ” you shake a tree in New York City and three therapists fall out.”  He may have been correct, but nonetheless, it’s part of what I do and who I am.  I also draw, sing and play guitar ( have a Takamine 6 string acoustic)and sing at open mics with Anne P.  I am from Brooklyn, left for many years to ski the slopes of Miami ( there aren’t any slopes) only to return 3 years ago to the Big and lovely Apple.  I do not have a love affair with Brooklyn, grew up there and realized I wanted to leave it when It was possible I was old enough to pay a decent rent.   I do have a the urge to tour the city, taking Instagram photos of the older buildings and the more subtle hum of life beneath the  surface.  I have met many people here who are a slice of NY life, from the heavily accented locals to the nouveau NYers, hoping to make money and perhaps obtain and degree of notoriety in the sleepless city.   This year I will sing, play, advise, cajole and work my way through the city, the Bronx.  There is so much to do, so much to say, that this is the reason for my blog. I need to share it, hear back from interested people and join in the underpinnings of NYC  life. Here it goes.

wish me a degree of luck in my expressions, my photos and my musings. share your impressions.
